    Emma Gleckel began working at CAPS as a Staff Counselor in August 2023. She received her Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Mental Health Counseling from Boston University. Emma is currently a Resident in Counseling, working towards LPC Licensure. Prior to joining the CAPS team, Emma provided mental health services in school-based and outpatient settings.

    Emma describes her counseling approach as person-centered and strengths-based. She aims to meet clients where they are, assisting them in tapping into their existing strengths, as well as developing and maintaining positive support systems and resources. Emma often uses interventions from CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Expressive Arts. While she is a generalist, her areas of clinical interest include: anxiety, depression, identity and self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions/adjustment. 

    In her free time, Emma enjoys running, being outside in nature, reading, listening to live music, and traveling.
