Profile
Megan is currently an Advanced Graduate Trainee at CAPS where she is working toward her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Her clinical styles include Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. Megan aims to help clients challenge maladaptive thought patterns, identify their strengths, work toward goals, and increase healthy habits.
A graduate from the United States Naval Academy, Megan recently retired as a Commander from the Navy after 21 years of service on both active and reserve duty. She is thankful for the worldwide travel she was able to experience as well as the friendships forge from service members all over the United States. She hopes her naval experiences will bring added value to counseling.
Megan enjoys spending time with family – her husband and two daughters – hiking, swimming, and generally exploring all things outdoors.
