Dr. Mary M. Churchill began working at UR CAPS in 1989 and is a staff psychologist. She has considerable experience working with college students with ADHD, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, relationship issues, adjustment concerns and psychological disabilities. She has prior experiences working in a number of different settings, such as a substance abuse treatment program, coordinating an Employee Assistance Program, working with individuals found to not guilty by reason of insanity, and various companies and corporations providing management development and diversity/inclusivity training.
Dr. Churchill believes in five essential elements to help people cope with change: SEEP+P = sleep, eat, exercise, play and plan to sleep, eat, exercise and play. She maintains the following tenets: your past does not define your future; people can change but change requires work; and that counseling provides a safe space to work on issues.Expand All-
