Karen received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from VCU and worked for several years in the marketing field as a graphics coordinator. Before joining the staff at University of Richmond, she was a preschool teacher for 14 years working with 3-year-olds. Since her children are “grown and flown,” she enjoys playing with her dog, gardening, traveling, and hiking with a goal of visiting all the National Parks.
