Tony Forgey is a board certified general psychiatrist and child and adolescent psychiatrist. He completed his psychiatric training at VCUHS and completed a child and adolescent fellowship at UVA. Tony is experienced with working with patients of all ages but focuses on teen and early adulthood. He has been working in underserved areas on the Navajo and Hopi reservations for the past 10 years, providing outpatient treatment, consult and liaison services, and helping with crisis work. Substance use disorders in young adults and anxiety are areas of particular interest and training.
Tony completed his undergraduate degree in Richmond, completed medical school in Philadelphia, and returned to Richmond for his residency. He loves Richmond and has lived in this best of small cities for most of his adult life.
Outside of work Tony enjoys tennis, eating at all the restaurants in town, and spending time with his kids.
